A new season
The 2015-16 winter programme for the West of Scotland Pain Group (WoSPG) is now available - see next post.
Of particular note is the change of venue to the Adelphi Centre on Commercial Road, Glasgow. Details are on the programme.
As in previous years the WoSPG committee have agreed to make funding available to pay the registration fees for the North British Pain Association meetings for a limited number of nurses, physiotherapists or other AHP's who attend WoSPG meetings. We will support registration for up to two delegates for each meeting. Applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis and should be submitted by e-mail to the secretary. Any applications for the meeting in November should be submitted now, and those for the meeting in May 2016 should be submitted by the end of March 2016.
We plan to offer a single educational grant of £100, for the same professional groups as above who attend WoSPG meetings. Again applications should be submitted to the secretary. We may ask the recipients of these grants to present feedback from the meetings to the group.
This year we are also very excited to offer a larger educational grant to support a training course/site visit/scientific meeting. Applicants will be required to submit a statement of support including estimated costs and whether any of this will be funded from elsewhere. We are proposing the closing date for submissions (again to secretary) is the 20th December 2015. We will have further details at our October meeting.
